You get to choose the city, team name and colours. The other team is the LA Riot and they are the main antagonists of the game. After a disagreement with the Riots coach, you have to fight your way up to match them head on by climbing the ranks to meet them.
You play as Kid Franchise, the protagonist and only player who can focus on offense and defence. After that the player has to play through a division 3 as normal, then they get sent to prison and the game really kicks off.
This game does really well not to shy away from the controversies that face a lot of what goes on both on and off the pitch. Although not entirely necessary, I still appreciated this grittier look at the sport. Take this game for what it is, a look into a very brutal and cinematic Football game. That being said, it does take an interesting stance on some of the more sensitive subjects surrounding the sport.
